Mediterranean and Spanish House Plan Architecture Style

One classic yet exciting type of plan architecture is the Mediterranean house plan/Spanish house plan style. Mediterranean style house plans tend to have open floor plans with high ceilings. Other common features of a Mediterranean House Style incorporate large outdoor spaces for entertaining and often, swimming pool designs. Tile roofs, arched doorways, courtyards, wrought iron features and one-story layouts are also typical of a Mediterranean House Plan/Spanish House Plan. Stucco is the most popular exterior finish.

Mediterranean house styles are also distinguishable by their shallow roofs, making wide overhangs that provide shade in warmer climates. The Mediterranean architecture style is favored for southern latitude vacation homes.
