French Country House Plan Architecture Style

French Country architecture style is a traditional style that has reemerged as a current popular home plan style. Some unique exterior features representative of the French Country style include turrets; tall, thin windows; and hip and gableroofs with rooflines of varying height. Although the French Country facade originally included a patchwork type look, for example, brick or stone staggered with stucco, today's French Country House may or may not integrate that look. However, stone, brick, stucco and wrought iron accents remain choice finishes for today's French Country home. This favorite home plan architecture exudes a warm, inviting feel that mixes the formal with the informal, the old and new, and may range in size from small, quaint French Country cottages to mansion-sized homes remniscent of a European Manor.
