Bungalow Home Plan Architecture Style

Most dictionaries define a bungalow home plan style as a one or one and a half story dwelling, usually surrounded by a veranda. The definition has broadened to encompass other architecture styles and larger sizes since the homes first became popular, but a low profile and low-pitched roof remain the distinctive factors of a bungalow style house plan. A home style with basically horizontal lines, the original intent of the bungalow design was to arrange living spaces on one floor similar to Ranch Home Plans and Country House Plans.

Once built mainly for practicality and affordability, bungalow house plans are now loved for style and character and the bungalow style is enjoying a resurgance in popularity.
